Effective governance and the rule of law are essential for democracy, accountability, economic development, and public confidence in state institutions. This programme promotes constitutionalism, transparency, accountability, citizen participation, and institutional integrity while supporting justice sector reform.
ILA works with public institutions, oversight bodies, civil society organizations, and local communities to strengthen governance systems and promote lawful, transparent, and accountable public administration. The programme also encourages civic participation in governance processes and public policy.
